In the hub of Copenhagen's colourful neighbourhood, Noerrebro, in 45 Noerrebrogade 45, you will find Rud. Rasmussen. One of the oldest cabinet makers still producing.

It is a family-owned and family-run company, founded in 1869 by Rudolph Rasmussen. Since then the company has been handed down from generation to generation and today it is run by the forth generation, by master cabinet maker and architect Jørgen Rud. Rasmussen.

What characterises Rud. Rasmussen is the close collaboration between the architect and cabinet maker. Back in time Rud. Rasmussen joined forces with Thorwald Bindesbøl and Martin Nyrop, amongst others, in connection with Copenhagen City Hall at the turn of the century. In the late 1920s contact was established to Kaare Klint and Mogens Koch whose designs Rud. Rasmussen has produced ever since. In this respect our production is quite unique.

In the heart of our corporate quality culture is our determination to create Danish furniture classics without compromising quality and craftsmanship.
